Transfer Watch: Late July Rumours

We’ve already seen some huge transfer this summer, but there is definitely more to come. Our transfer window odds offers odds on a few of the players linked to new clubs lately, so let’s have a look at a few players rumoured to switch shirts this summer!

Donnarumma to England?

The Italian goalkeeper helped PSG win their first CL title at the end of May and was also on the pitch in the CWC final against Chelsea. The club world champions are one of the clubs seemingly interested in signing the Italian this summer, despite Sanchez playing a big part in the final against PSG earlier this month.

Donnarumma, still only 26 years old, has been a huge presence for both club and country in the last years, and there will be plenty of clubs looking for his services this summer, with a move now looking imminent.

Man Utd and Man City are both mentioned as a potential destination, with Juventus and Inter also reportedly interested. Could Donnarumma end up in Manchester this summer, and if he does, which of the clubs will he end up at?

Garnacho to Chelsea?

Garnacho’s time at Man Utd seems to be done and dusted, but the question is where he’ll end up. Chelsea and Aston Villa are apparently interested in the winger, while there has also been reported interest from Italy and Germany, from Napoli and Bayern Munich, respectively.

His pace and explosivity could certainly make sense in Bayern Munich, but his finishing and output in general has been a big question mark since his big breakthrough. It’s hard to tell if his struggles are only down to individualistic reasons, or if it is a symptom of the problems Man Utd have been going through the last few years. Maybe a completely new league would be just what he needs to rejuvenate his career, and in that case a move to Germany or Italy could be just what he needs.

On the other hand, Chelsea could be an interesting option if he wants to stay in England, and Maresca’s style could be a good fit for the pacy Argentinian winger.

Where next for Jack Grealish?

Jack Grealish was a huge star at Aston Villa before his big move to Man City, but he has struggled to find playing time for Guardiola’s side lately, and with only 4 goals and 2 assists in the PL in the last two seasons, it’s understandable that he now seems to be on his way out.

Napoli has been mentioned as a potential destination for the English winger, and you could argue the Italian league could fit him well. Conte would definitely demand a lot from the Man City player if he was to make the switch, and you’d think it could be a smart move for him if the motivation is there.

A move back to Aston Villa could also be an interesting one, and there are certainly enough Villa fans that would love to see him back in Birmingham. Other potential clubs are Everton and West Ham, with both of them at least “closer to home” for Grealish, who might consider those as “safer” options if he is to break into the England setup again.
